The Centre for BME Health East Midlands welcomes Barbara Czyznikowska and Darshna de Souza into two brand new Project Support Officer posts.
Both Barbara and Darshna will play a key role in supporting the work of the Centre for BME Health to reduce ethnic health inequalities in the East Midlands by working with the public, community groups as well as voluntary and faith centre organisations.
Barbara joins the Centre for BME Health from Healthwatch Leicester in which she led on community campaigns and ‘bus for life’ tours. She has an extensive background in public involvement, community engagement and health equality, with a particular interest on interventions relating to wellbeing and community cohesiveness.
Darshna’s background lies in Project Management for cross sector projects, in particular using public and corporate funding to achieve set objectives. She joins the team from the Youth Sport Trust in which she built and developed strong links with external partners. Darshna’s interest lies in work that serves a social purpose.
In their new roles, both Barbara and Darshna will be working on a variety of projects for the Centre for BME Health East Midlands.
