A BSc honours graduate in public and community health studies, who has 10 years extensive experience of project management, delivery, planning and evaluation. Nasima has worked with Leicester’s diverse voluntary and statutory communities, including Leicester City Council, Sure start Children Centres, Social Services, Schools, Patient and Public Involvement Forums (PPIF) and PPG groups. Nasima chaired the Neighbourhoods Advisory Board (NABS) for central cluster and served as a parent governor for 5 years at Sparkenhoe Community Primary School.
Nasima is currently working as Projects Development Officer at Bangladesh Youth and Cultural Shomiti (BYCS) and Project Support Assistant at the Leicester Diabetes Centre. Nasima is involved in supporting projects and external support requests for the BME Centre, leading on the translations of the Leicester Diabetes Risk Score and supporting the RADIATE (Rising Awareness and Prevention of type 2 Diabetes) Project.
