A very special community service is being held at Leicester Cathedral on Thursday 19 October 2017 as part of National Hate Crime Awareness Week.
The Service of Hope and Remembrance will be held from 5:30pm to be followed by refreshments in the great South Aisle of the cathedral.
Darren Goodard, Hate Crime Officer at the Local Policing Directorate within Leicestershire Police said, We know the impact hate incidences and hate crimes can have for victims and their families, we also know how they can divide communities. I do hope you will be able to join us to send a strong message that hate incidents and crimes are unacceptable in a civilised society and have no place in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
