Prostate event promoted on BBC Radio Leicester

Awareness of prostate cancer was raised on BBC Radio Leicester today in the build-up to an event taking place in Leicester on Saturday.

The Play Domino, Talk Prostate event takes place at Moat Community College, Maidstone Road, Leicester, from 2pm to 7pm on Saturday, March 10.

It aims to raise awareness of prostate cancer among African Caribbean men and supporting those diagnosed with the condition. A free hot Caribbean lunch will be provided for all attendees.

Specialist speakers will be on hand to provide information and answer any questions about the condition, named as the UK’s third biggest cancer killer last month. The information session has been organised by the Centre alongside PROSTaid and Prostate Cancer UK

Pamela Campbell-Morris, who is a Project Assistant and Community Champion at the Centre, spoke about the condition on BBC Radio Leicester on Monday, March 5.
