NHS England seek advisers to join Mental Health Independent Advisory and Oversight Group

NHS England are seeking two patient, carer, public expert advisors to join their Mental Health Independent Advisory and Oversight Group, chaired by Paul Farmer, Chief Executive of Mind.

  • The group provides oversight of the delivery of commitments in the mental health strategy document, the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health.
  • The group will provide input to help deliver ambitions for improving mental health services for people of all ages and in all parts of the country.
  • The group will have an important role in the development of the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Improvement and Assessment Framework for mental health.
  • Members of the group include representatives from the voluntary sector, NHS Trusts, commissioners and professional bodies.
